Hello, I am Camille
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Paris, France.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn’t in the master plan. Like many international relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Crystal Brook Pad
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in France.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Hands-on insights from living in France
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site ISN'T:
- Not an official tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in France goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue documenting what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Cheers,
Camille
